Yeah the slide outs are nice especially when you get where your going and I like that three cushion couch. It makes for a tough decision, I think when we finally do pull the trigger, we’ll go with the 19FD, because it also has a bigger shower and bathroom and my wife and I prefer that. My Tacoma came with the tow package, but I purchased a bigger aftermarket cooler (Long Tru-Cool LPD Automatic Transmission Oil Cooler 4589 24,000 GVW) and will swap that in when I flush the tranny. It sounds like your Tacoma pulls the 19FBS well, I like the dry weight of the E Pros, just a little concerned with the aerodynamics of the E-Pros front when the wind picks up (I think Rpods have more of a benefit in that category, but the inside and features of the E-pros are a lot nicer IMO).

I’d be interested in updates on trailering experience with the 19FSB in the future.

@Micbt25 what made you decide on this cooler? I am thinking about also upgrading my factory tow package cooler.

I was gonna go with B&M and I started researching Tru-Cool and saw great reviews and I saw that @gearcruncher likes them as well. The fact that it has a low pressure bypass was important as the 2nd gens don’t have a thermostat on the transmission so if the it’s in the middle of winter the Tru-Cool won’t send the fluid thru the entire cooler. I guess everyone has their preference and I’ve heard good things about the B&Ms

I pulled around 400 miles this weekend, about 80% on I-10. Truck did good again, averaging about 12MPG on the way there, and 11 on the way home. I ran the truck in 4th the entire trip doing a hair under 3k rpm at 65 MPH. 4th gear between 60-65mph seems to be the sweet spot. Had 15-20 mph crosswinds on the way home, and while it would definitely push me around, it never got out of hand or felt unsafe.

Shot in the dark here, but does anyone have a list of brands of offroad and micro campers?

I'm looking for basically a tent on wheels I can tow all over the place.

Basically comparable to the No Boundaries 10.5ish. Other brands that come to mind are Taxa and Hikertrailer

Yeah, it's pretty weak. If you googles the Sunray 109 there's a bunch of videos and reviews. I was scouring Craigslist RVs and a couple of them popped up otherwise I never would have known about them. Kind of a teardrop-ish.

In hindsight that's what Jon had at AOAA last year, I just completely forgot the brand.

You could even put an RTT on it which would be pretty slick.

which model ya looking at? I wish these RV makers would go with white cabinetry especially in smaller trailers, why the hell would I want “natural wood” color when the shit ain’t wood! That’s why I like the E-pro 19FSB

Few months old question, but I've been running the roadmasters for over three years now. I'm happy with them. They are a weird "halfway point" between a helper spring and an airbag. They are adjustable unlike a helper spring, but also they are "set and forget" once you get the adjustment dialed in. I came very close to getting some airbags, but didn't like the idea of airing up/down with every weight change. With the roadmasters I have them set so that the truck sits level when hitched and loaded with a cooler. Downside is that the truck looks like a presenting stink bug when empty.

The other benefit that appealed to me is that a single crescent wrench will remove them in 5 minutes if/when I trade the truck in.

Agreed. I sanded most of the "wood" down on mine and repainted. I hated that 1970's paneled living room look.

I like white cabinetry in a trailer. Surprising how much it brightens the interior. Instead of feeling like you went into a dungeon when you enter the trailer door you feel like you're still outdoor.

We have been camping for the past 9 yrs with a 2006 Spirit Deluxe Casita 17 ft travel trailer 2200 lb dry and 3100 lb loaded for camping, its been very good, some usual repairs. Tow Vehicle is a 2006 Tacoma TRD OR Acces cab w/Quicklift Rancho 9000's and rear Supersprings. Looking to upgrade the tow vehicle soon as I am approaching 200,000 miles on the truck, maybe a lightly used 2015 TRD Offroad DBL Cab LB, or access cab, then build it up again for easy tow.
