Just wondering what type of Christmas tree tw prefers. I personally hate fake trees. Usually we go to a lot and pay too much, but we go to the boy scout lot, so it doesn't bother me. This year, today actually, were going to go cut a tree down. Ill post pics when we get back. Please also use this thread to post pics of your adventure, if you cut one down.

I have a live tree in a pot that I used every year. I got it when it was really small. It's still small because it's slow growing.

We have a fake one just because my wife doesn't want to deal with the mess. I prefer live ones because the smell is just AWESOME! lol...

My family hasn't gotten our tree yet, but we buy our tree from a local tree lot. We buy a spruce, and I can say that I love that scent the tree gives off!

Edit:We still have our old tree from last year laying around in our yard till we have a bonfire haha:)

My tree is 7 inches tall and it's both real and fake trees. It has a pine limb base with plastic and metal sticking out of the top. I got it out of the cupboard just for this thread. I've had it for 25 or so years now. Some day I'll get a Festivus pole too. :D

This year we got a lot tree because Fred Myer had a $5 off coupon so I ended up getting it for $25. By the time I paid for gas and the $5 tree permit I couldn't even drive out onto BLM land and get one for that. Once the baby is a little older we will go back to cutting our own though for the experience.

Grand Fir trees smell the best, Douglas Firs are the cheapest and Nobles look the best and are the most expensive. Lil I always like getting Grand for the smell.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Fake tree, no mess and cheaper to own, plus the lights are already built into it, just have to add ornaments. We just got sick of sweeping and vacuuming pine needles for a month after Christmas out of the carpet. Plus it seemed one of the dogs always pissed on the real tree every year, none of them have showed interest in the fake tree. And it's cheaper in the long one, we shouldn't ever have to buy a tree again.
