A few because I was into modding them for awhile. Maglite Solitaire with an xpg2 and 10440 liion for a pocket penlight, BLF A6 with 18650 and 18350 tubes and cells for jobsight work, BLF Thrunite T10 Saber 1A 14500. Sometimes I pack my homemade woody. When working underneath the truck I'll use a 3x XML2 quad 18650 clone. 16340 rechargable liions direct swap with CR123 primary cells but have a higher fully charged voltage. Rechargeables dont last as long per charge but are much less expensive over time with much less trash created. Alkalines are a waste of money and put anything they're in at risk. If you have to use primary 1.5V cells get lithiums like eveready, they never leak, hold a charge much better than any alkaline made, and have more juice to start with, worth it.

    My edc is a Fenix RC11, 1000 lumens, $80.
Need more light as I age gracefully. Always at the ready in my jeans pocket, one hand deploy, heat shrink on the end, 3 years on original 18650 so far.

Link won't work, since it's been discontinued, but it still gets you to the Fenix site. So far, the RC11 is still available at Amazon, eBay. I bought a second one as backup. Look at the LD30 for a newer model. About the same cost, size, brighter, tail switch, hat/pocket clip.

A flashlight in a truck usually is useful when something goes wrong (duh) A fucking black tactical wannabe dipshit light may illuminate well, but it's also easily lost or forgotten when picking up all the parts, tools etc. Loud day glo orange or yellow helps prevent losing a good $80 light.

I have a friend who is on flashlight forums for God's sake and he swears by foursevens flashlights. I have two of them, both run on rechargeable Envelop batteries which, are supposed to be "the best also."

I like the availability to using "AA" batts for travel because that type of batt is pretty universal around the globe. Other types of batteries can be brighter than "AA's" though.

I have a Fenix light on my keychain for work. Great as well.

The one who dies with the most stuff wins.
I EDC a Streamlight 88030 1L so that is always with me.

I also keep a ThruNite 2C V3 in the center console. I clip it onto the side of the center console organizer, so that I can charge it via USB. It takes an 18650 li-ion cell, which can't be charged below temps of 32*F but the battery lasts long in cold temps anyway.

I have an old Zebralight H501 headlamp, a Surefire C2 Centurion with Malkoff M60W LED Dropin, and a Costco Duracell Durabeam Ultra with eneloops.

When on trips, I have my favorite headlamp along. For general emergency use or whatever, I do not see the value in having something pricey that will just hang out in a storage compartment, so this is perfect: They should really update the pic because the current model has some nice SMD LEDs.

Fenix TK-40, which uses 8 AA's. Sanyo Eneloops in it. A great rechargeable but you can also put any AA in there in a pinch. I love photographing beautiful objects so I made my own "ad" for Fenix a few years ago. Love this light.Fenix_8091_RGB_v3.jpg

I have had my eye on the TK35, 1300 Lum on two 18650s is nice, majority of my lights run on 18650s, the TK35 may be my next light, great choice.
