What kind of flashlight is in your 3rd Gen ?

My wife will love it too when I buy another flashlight, NOT !
I need another flashlight like I need a hole in my head, since the group pic that I posted earlier in the thread I think I have added about 5 more to the collection, but I still may end up with the TK 35. LOL

 

I have a SpotLight (left) that is rechargeable via the 12v port. Not in the truck but worth mentioning is a Surefire Z2 Combat Light that has a LED bulb swap and now runs on rechargeable LitIon batteries. What a huge savings on battery costs!

 

Yep, gotta have Lithium Ion batts and decent charger.

Cheapo LED & Petzl headlight both in the center console.

 

Shadowhawk X800. Bright enough to be very useful should I ever need it, but not so expensive that I'd be upset if it is ever stolen out of my truck. This is a great flashlight for the money. I've had it for a year or two now with no issues. Use it all the time.

Wouldn't go to war with it but it's great to keep in the truck for normal everyday use.

 

I got a streamlight strion, but haven't mounted it yet. So it sits next to my door with my work gloves and some cheap flashlights in the glovebox for emergencies.

 

Surefire PX2 with expanded case for 2 18650 rechargeables is the daily carry, everyone always wants to use my light at the scene of a crime. (Mechanical/Electrical inspection lol)

Looking for a new something new now, Fenix or Thrunite ?

 

I mounted the Streamlite Litebox and Strion to a piece of plywood and it is wedged on the passenger side. Lift out to remove. I ordered a cup holder 3-port charger from Amazon to plug into. So far it’s worked the best of any of my previous locations. Plenty of room for passengers feet and all reachable from drivers side. Will loom up wires when plug arrives. Plywood piece is 13”X18”.

My dad had that in his tow truck. Brought back memories of riding with him in the middle of the night to accident sites. I carry a Matco flood light 400 lumens and will last for up to 6 hours. This is my second one already. Never thought I'd spend $130 on a flashlight but its way worth it. Keep it in center console always charged.

 

UCO Leschi in the console. Not the brightest thing out there, but doubles as a lantern if needed under the hood and uses a single AA.
