    stock, for now
For years i have worn a half helmet, DOT legal. I hate the wind. I have tried ear plugs but they don't stay in. Really considering a full face for riding my cruiser bike. Any suggestions? Can't afford a $500+ helmet right now. I'm looking at 2-300. Any suggestions? Only thing i'd prefer is flat black color. Not looking to win any beauty contests. Lol

I know MX helmets differ a lot from street but I own a Troy Lee helmet, One Industries and a FOX helmet. Favorite one would be the TLD helmet but they can sure get pricey. Mine was mid-grade and it was $350.

I have an older Joe Rocket carbon fiber full face and a Fulmer 1/2 helmet. I have a Scala Rider Bluetooth setup in the full face.

when I first started riding I had a Full face HJC, cost me $120 and is DOT and fits well. I currently use a Street & Steel (I think) half helmet for most riding.

I bought a set of noise-cancelling earphones so I could tune music low enough to hear my surroundings. It really helps with the tone of exhaust and almost gets rid of any leftover wind buffeting

I like Shoei and Arai helmets personally, but if those are out of the budget, I would look at bell and HJC. You should be ok at 2-300 dollar mark, but just remember you get what you pay for. helmets and jackets are things i don't skimp on.

BTW, the cheaper helmets will generally have more wind noise, in case you didn't know.

I have Shoei, Arai and Nolen. The Shoei looks and feels big for my correct size, the Arai fits great, I've had several their great hats. My current fav has to be the Nolen

I've got an HJC as well, full face. They're a good helmet for the money. Not too much wind noise, but I do wear ear plugs most of the time because hearing loss runs in the family and I'd like to keep mine for a while.

I have an hjc helmet that cost about 120, i like it. I believe its also got the snell crash rating thats more strict than the dot test.

I bought a bell vortex helmet at a local closeout for $100. Good helmet, cheap, snell approved (I won't wear a helmet that is not snell approved), only downside is the helmet gets quite a bit of wrong noise but a decent set of earplugs and I have no issues

Nice, lesser known brand but good looking stuff and gets great reviews. Read through webbikeworld.com reviews for good helmets. Also look for last years versions as they will be discounted compared to the newer ones.
