What kind of leveling kit should I get

I'm looking for a leveling kit just to pick up the front end and even everything out but I'm not sure how much lift I want all together. It's hard to get an idea without actually seeing one and knowing how big of a lift it has

 

Billstein 5100 adjustable shocks with the stock coils. Set the adjustment on the second perch from bottom .85" average lift. You'll be happy.

 

Throw some 1/2" spacers on top and call it good. That'll lift the front up about an inch and you'll notice no degradation in ride quality. Cost you $72. Only thing is you'll need to disassemble the coils and shocks to get the extended studs on there.

for reference a top plate spacer gives you about 2x the thickness of the plate is lift in the front. So for a 2" lift you would use a 1" spacer. If you have got some miles on the truck- Just replace the shocks with 5100's is probably going to be the best way to go for you.

 

If you're disassembling the shocks, why not upgrade and lift at the same time?

 

Because it's cheaper, and will ride better since the shock isn't being preloaded. Him being a 2013 I bet his shocks are fine.

 

Better is subjective

I liked the way my preloaded coils (1.75" setting) rode even more than my 885 coils - same lift, 885s ride softer.

You're right, better is subjective. I should say that it will ride firmer if he were to go your route and preload the coils versus some spacers on top.

 

If I may hijack the thread, where and how do you measure to see how far off level the truck is?

Center of hub to bottom of fender. Just remember that once you put anything in the bed, the ass end drops.

 

Just take a jack and lift it and look at it yourself.
I have a 3+2 and I think it looks like I have a slight bro lean, can't stand it.

if stock then i would not lift the back only front
Mine was just about 2" lower in the front so 1" would give u some rack
