What kind of rear brakes does 2015 TRD Pro 4×4 have?

I've been told two things. Do they have drum brakes on the rear? What are the best brake pads?

 

Drum and stock shoes. These are not sports cars and for the most part the stock brakes are adequate. If you need more front rotors and pads are easy to upgrade with good bang for your buck. Some good threads on the subject.

I couldn't tell you what is the 'best' . I'm happy with the braking and longevity of the Original Equipment pads and shoes..

Others will have their favorites for their own reasons.

This is a good thread with info. I don't have the stop tech rotors but the trd pads are absolutely a step up from the regular oem pads. Lots of info here on big brake kits and I think there is a rear drum conversion walk thru buried in there somewhere.
