That is super cool! I absolutely love reptiles. If I wasn’t working in avian ecology I would 100% be in reptile ecology. I love getting to see the desert species out here! Here’s a photo of a gorgeous and sweet Great Basin Gophersnake I crossed paths with last week at one of my sites ❤️34CFF9F2-257E-4070-9564-1096043800E8.jpg

You’re absolutely right. I’ve been dreaming of a truck for so long, and already can tell I’m never going back!

    Nope, nope, nope.

Glad there's people like you that don't mind them, though!

Haha, idk how everyone doesn’t just love them! They’re such beautiful creatures and this one was so very sweet. Most snakes are just chilling and soaking up sun! I love to do the same thing ;)

Color matched front valence, scoop, LED DRL, mirror turn signals, color matched flares... looks like a Sport to me.

Yeah that’s nice. I love snakes plus all amphibians and reptiles. Insects is what I don’t fuck with. There’s flying hissing roaches here where I live.

Lmao I grew up in Florida, so I know all about roaches that fly! I’m cool with most insects, but roaches that fly straight at your face are not one of them.

What you have it the type of truck you are most likely to come across having fun way out in the middle of nowhere. Meaning...way OUTER-ER than other brands. Meaning, it'll get you farther out there before you get your ass in a crack and then you just have a farther walk back! FARTHER-ER. (Ask me how I know.)(Ask me more than once...) That is the kind of truck you have. Enjoy.

Imagine living in Australia where everything tries to kill you. That’d be quite a place to live.

They say Florida is the Australia of the US. I would love to visit the land down under one day though!

I’d say Australia is a British version of Texas.

My almost 16 YO son would be jealous! He just made Eagle Scout and is his troops "Outdoor Ethics Guide". He is leaning toward Marine Biology but loves the entire natural world. We live in AL and have a small pond, where I work. We had a resident raptor, at one time. There was much debate among staff here what his/her exact species was but he/she would often been seen hopping around the edges of the pond. One day I saw him/her eating something on top of a bird house we had set on a post and could tell he/she left remnants of the meal. When I checked, it was crawfish....I would have never guessed.

Eden, you should come visit the Big Thicket sometime. Five ecotones converge here, America's biological crossroads. More flora and fauna than possibly anywhere in NA. Five insect-eating plants thrive here, more than any other place in the world. And...considered one of two likely places that the Ivory-billed Woodpecker might still survive.

That’s so awesome! Sounds like future conservation ecologist ;) I love so much that he is an outdoor ethics guide at such a young age, that makes my heart happy. What you described sounds like a Red-shouldered Hawk, a very beautiful hawk species that’s common in the southeast. They’re quite vocal so maybe you’ve heard it at some point. Crawfish sounds like a fancy meal for a raptor! Haha they’re pretty generalist so they’ll eat just about anything they can catch!
