My sister lives at the beach and has a Honda Ridgeline for carting around all her beach "toys". My wife and son are into biking, kayaking, etc and she decided she needed a truck too. She first thought wanted a Ridgeline, which I wouldn't drive but if that was what she wanted, I was cool with it. I happened to see the Inferno Tacoma on a local dealer's website and told her to just go by and check it out and drive it and see what she thought......needless to say, she chose the "Orange Taco" and loves it.

Haha I’m not sure, just googled and it sounds like Snake River Farms is based out of Boise, so I’d say yes! I work at the Snake River Birds of Prey National Conservation Area (NCA) that is just southwest of Boise. The NCA has about 81 miles of river and canyon that runs through it :) There’s quite a bit of cattle industry around here though.

I see where you’re name comes from! What kind of tortoise is that?? I grew up in Florida and worked with Burrowing Owls there last year. I fell in love with Gopher Tortoises!!! I rescued one while I was working out there and was able to release her back into the wild after she spent a month in rehab.

I think that was a great choice! I’ve always had Honda’s before this. I think a Taco would make a great beach vehicle too!

Oh wow nice rescue!! Lots of my coworkers have done gopher tortoise work in the southeast in the past.

The one in my photo is in the same genus but it's a Mojave desert tortoise/Gopherus agasizii. They're a threatened species and drive a lot of the study and conservation work out here, pretty amazing little creatures to live in Mojave conditions

What a cool job! That’s a good size one in your photo too. I’d love to see a desert tortoise one day! I wonder if any of your coworkers worked at or are familiar with Archbold Biological Station. That’s where I was stationed for the Burrowing Owl project, they do a lot of tortoise research there.

Here's a bald eagle I took a picture of out of my kitchen window. Was washing dishes, saw a movement about five feet off the ground about 80 yards out in the distance. Was flying down the fairway carrying what looked to be a dead cat. Landed in the fairway and ate on it for a few minutes, then picked it up and flew off. They are plentiful around here. They build massive nests in the tops of of the ancient cypress trees that grow in the sloughs here in the Big Thicket.

Eating a cat. YECK! Must be an acquired taste. I'll never kiss another bald eagle again...

Seeing our National symbol out in the wild is nothing short of spectacular! (Albeit a bit odd to see it eating a kitty lol)
