Mid-westerner??? That's an insult my friend!

Ok yeah, so I was bored and was trying to pick a fight about which wipers you should use. So what!

Rain-X sucks??? I have used rain-X for over 20 years in Chicago winters and wouldn't ever think of not using it.

If you apply it right, and it takes some time and effort to do it right, it is the best for wet weather driving visibility. It makes clearing snow and ice so much easier too.

First of all, I did say that it is my opinion. Soooo, relax.

I have read the directions several times, very carefully. Circular motions, come to a haze, re-apply if necessary, etc., etc.

I just don't care for the way it works on the windshield. I did say I use it on the other windows. ;)

I've had the truck for a year and haven't refilled the fluid yet thanks to the wipe on rain-x, so not quite sure what color my shit is. I like the way the wipe on rain-x performs although it is a pain. It also fosters a good feeling of smug, self-righteous contempt for all the other drivers who actually have to use wipers to smear their shit all over their windshields.

So anyway, how does the rain-x washer fluid work compared to the wipe on shit? You supposed to mist your windshield a couple of times to apply or something? I've never used it.

So I guess I'll go with the Bosch Icon's and the Rain X shit.

Any ideas where the cheapest place to order is through?
I'm gonna try Amazon unless someone says differntly.
    Thx

Well I've went ahead and made the switch to synthetic washer fluid. I get to increase my drain interval by 2x. Synthetic is the yellow shit.

For the really cheap folks, I just found this recipe online

    9 cups water
    1 cup isopropyl alcohol
    1 tablespoon dishwashing liquid

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
Isn't it all technically synthetic? I have never seen a windsheild washer rig.

    Oh, and the rain-x shit.

Yep, was searching for windshield chips and came across this one. I was laughing when I read mixed the pink shit w/ blue shit to make green shit. So I added my $0.02.
