Needed to move an empty 20' shipping container only a few inches over. Just going to do some sketchy shit dont mind me.....

    :duh:

What have you done with a hi-lift that is on this level of, WATCH THE FUCK OUT! I'M SCARED TO PULL IT AGAIN.

Nope it did not budge 1 inch. I needed to adjust my hi-lift so the end bit was straight instead of out. Even after I slacked it off and did that. It was so sketchy, I had that thing pulled with all my might. I was to scared to give another lunge.

NOT EVEN 1 INCH ON SNOW

    DO NOT TRY THIS

I voted yes, BUT it could have been sketchy depending on the hardware you used and how you did it.
Anything is sketchy depending on how it’s done. (And I’ve been guilty of it myself at times)

Anyways. Yeah, you got it done! Good job:thumbsup:

Everything I used is rated at 20K lbs minimum.

I pretend to be safe

Feels like Im rolling the dice of death everytime I use the damn thing, except the time I pulled a mailbox post out of the ground with it, that was pretty tame.

I’ll take your word for it. I don’t know the distance from anchor point to container.
I’d probably try to use a chain the whole span or a steel cable. Like I said, I wasn’t there.
It’s always better to be safe than sorry.

The most I’ve ever used a Hi-lift for is leveling a utility shed.
Other than that, I haven’t really used them much.
I have done some sketchy stuff with a come-along. Definitely used them outside of their design limits.
