what kinda oil do u use

    ok so ive never changed my oil in my tacoma(got to start learning some time:) ) ive always taken it to the dealer ship to get it changed so my question is what kind of oil can i use and how much do i use and o ya i have a 2006 toyota tacoma 4x4 V6 :)

    and after i get my oil changed how do i reset my maintance required lite?

    I go with the regular MOBILE 1 5000. I wouldn't go with fully synthetic unless my motor is built for it.

    to clear maint. light:

    To reset you Maintenance Required light:
    1. Turn the ignition key to the "OFF" position.

    2. Turn the ignition key to the "ON" position while holding down the trip meter reset knob.

    Hold down the knob for at least 5 second. The odometer indicates "000000" and the light goes off.
    NOTE: (You will see a series of dashes that count down while the system resets itself)

    If the system fails to reset, the light will continue to flash and you must re-perform the procedure.

    in my first vehicle i used valvoline 5w30 and a wix oil filter

    and that brings me to another question what kinda filter should i go with?

    Alpine HU, Apline 6.5 3 way Speakers, Access Cover.
    I use castrol gtx and a high quality filter such as Bosch, Mobile 1, or Toyota oem. I dont put enough miles on yearly to use synthetic. I change every 3 k which equal 6 mos of driving.
