Just got my quote from head strong.. 500+ for just shipping alone!!!! More then the price of the springs itself.. the struggle is real, living out here in Hawaii! That's why it's so hard not to take advantage of free shipping deals!

I would make damn sure All Pro will honor that claim. Might as well grab them. Wow that's insane shipping man.

Allpro standards with any extra weight weight for me sagged to about stock height in 3 years. I know shipping to Hawaii sucks... I had to return some defective leafs from there too... On my own dime... But now I have dakars and could not be happier.

Shipping springs to and from Hawaii (at least Oahu) should only be like 100 to 120 a spring?

WOW! I had no idea. I live on an island in the Atlantic. I always tell people, everything is imported, that's why it cost more. Lol.....Hawaii is way out there, for sure.

That would be sort of reasonable if it was, but unfortunately it's not.. it's really expensive! Sometimes you'll find a deal on shipping but for big bulky items shipping will always be in the hundreds.. I think I paid 200 for shipping in my icon suspension..

"All-Pro’s Expedition 2.0 Leaf Springs feature a higher spring rate than the expedition leaf springs. They are otherwise identical in dimension and quality, providing the same eye-to-eye measurements and wheel travel. To be very clear, The 2.0 expo leafs are designed for vehicles carrying a minimum of 500+ pounds of additional weight at all times. We have customers running 1000-1200 lbs on there trucks with still maintaining the proper lift height with out sagging. We strongly recommend against running these leafs on vehicles that are not weighted at all times. The result will be a very harsh and stiff ride since these are designed for expedition extreme builds."

I have the Expo's with around 500lbs on the back. I still have a solid 3" of lift versus stock over...3-4 years now? (And I bought them second hand.)
Expo's might be overkill for you honestly. Go standard if you do All Pro. Very happy with my Expo's.

I agree... I think the expos might be a little too much.. I'm really leaning towards standards.. the heaviest load I'll be hauling will be the camper.. maybe a cooler an BBQ grill on the weekends.. other that it's mostly to keep things dry an keep the surfboards from walking away when I'm at work.. I would love to give dakars a try but not willing to pay 500+ for shipping!

If you get a whole lift kit that number seems more reasonable..... lol. But yah gotta take advantage of deals whenever they popup for us here in the islands

I've got the same dilemma. Also out in Hawaii and want to order a set of springs. I've got a cap ~200 lbs and usually have about another 50ish lbs back there. Trying to decide between standard and expo springs. Would rather have a little more lift but don't want the ride to be too harsh. Ideally will be adding a rack to cap and maybe a bumper, but not quite sure when that will happen.

Going with the all pro standards.. expos will be too stiff for me an I won't be driving around with enough weight.. I'll only have a bed cap an that's about it.. so only driving around with about 250 lbs daily..

@Subdewd - Go with the Standards. Honestly, if you don't have 500lbs in the back MINIMUM, it's a harsh harsh ride. I have 500lbs in mine and it still feels like an unloaded 3/4 ton driving around. I took my RTT off one time and holy crap...All I can say is my truck cornered like an F1 car. But at a cost.

what if you and some others on the same island buy some items together, would the shipping be cheaper?

Yes. You should still have some forward rake with that. The steel bumper isn't that much heavier than the stock one. It's heavier, but it's not like replacing the front plastic bumper with an ARB/Winch combo.
