Hey all. Somewhat of a newbie with suspension changes. Have a 2017 DCLB TRD Sport, no lift, but I have a lot of extra static weight going on the bed. Fiberglass cap is about 175 pounds, and RTT that is going on soon is looking to be 200+ (diy build).
I'm assuming I need to upgrade my leaf springs since I'll have around 400 extra pounds on the bed nearly all the time before gear; but not sure where to start.

I recently put Deaver Stage 2s on my LB and they ride nice with only my topper and gear (300lbs maybe) and also ride great with the 700lbs or so I had in there the other day. No shims or notable vibes either. They do provide some lift though around 2-2.5" when on the lighter end of their rating. I did Eibach Pro stage 2 coilovers up front and have some rake.

I love my Deaver U402 Stage 3, but that would be overkill for your needs (unless maybe you want to add a trailer to your setup). Sounds like the Stage 2 would be great for you. The Deavers use a higher number of thinner leaf springs to help give a more gradual spring rate. Ride much better when running light than a standard HD leaf pack with only a few thick leaves. I regularly run an empty bed with the rear end of my truck about 6 inches high, then I'll load up the 1000lb camper in the bed and a loaded 16ft car trailer trailer to bring me back down to level. I love the simplicity of the leaves. No need for airbags (which are another great option for running varying loads).
