What line is this on the rear drum?

I accidently knicked it with an angle grinder. The rash isn't terribly deep. What does this line do? Costly to replace? Needed to replace?

 

I am no lineologist, but is that for the emergency brake?

 

Ya, I'm pretty sure that's the parking brake.

 

You'll be fine as long as there is no emergency requiring brakes

I can't believe these guys are misleading you like this...these are obviously ABS fluid lines for the rear wheels.

 

Aah, go ahead and cut it the rest of the way through, followed by a quick drive, to find out for sure - what it is and whether it needs to be replaced.

Seriously, like the others said, it's the manual parking brake cable. No problem with such minor damage (the rubber is just to keep the cable from rusting, which shouldn't be an issue since you didn't grind down to metal). The actual brake fluid lines are a bit better protected over the axle.

 

As above, emergency brake cable. Steel shell with a rubber jacket to keep out water. As long as you didn't compromise the steel, the cable will be fine. Doesn't look like you made it through the rubber, if you had, all you would need is to seal it up.
