Had seller's remorse when parting from my Dodge. My boss suggested getting Toyota because of it being known to last. He said to me "How many Dodge Rams do you see running across the desert with huge guns mounted in the back? There's a reason for that you know. Them Toyotas take a beating and they just don't die." By the way, he drives a Chevy truck. :p

I bought mine because I wanted a truck.

Nothing else in even came close to the tacoma, so I bought a tacoma.

I mean really, is there even a choice? Colorado, lame, Dakota, Lame, Ranger, Mega Lame.

my first ride was an '86 4runner... ended up giving it away. had other rides after that, but always missed driving a Toyota. so i traded my last truck ('09 Yukon) for a Taco since i had family that drove Tacos and loved riding with em to Pismo Beach/camping....

needed something more reliable than my old '91 GMC sonoma. I was looking for a ranger but ended up paying a bit more for the taco after test driving a couple rangers...;)

Tacoma is the optimum midsize truck...not to big not to small...tons better than Dodge Dakota, and Nissan frontier. I had a chance back in 02 and was stupid for getting a frontier then.
I have only had my Tacoma for one day and loving it so far.

That reminds me. I forgot in my earlier post that after the Ram was gone I pulled out my old truck I had in storage. I had a really nice '88 Chevy S10 that I let my friend have. That's ANOTHER regret....should have kept that one. Let it go two weeks before I got the Tacoma.

I had always wanted one since I was in highschool. I got back from a deployment in 05 and I had paid off the car I had at the time. Went to a dealership to look at one one day, and ending up leaving with a brand new 06 prefunner TRD offroad. Almost 6 years later I still love that truck as much as the first day I bought it. I want to be buried in it, just kidding, but seriously.

I live in the city and own a home. Its great for weekend trips to Lowes, the river, mountains, and anything out doors. Other trucks are just to big hard to park and don't last. Tacoma well its a tank.

Really wanted to get back into a truck. I had a 99 and a 01 Dodge 1500 4x's.. then I got married, bought a house and had two kids. So I drove a focus for 7 years ... it was time to get back into a truck and didn't want a full size. I drive 80 miles round trip everyday.
