So as many of you know, the rear leafs on my 2012 access cab are crap. They are already frowning after only a year of use. I've been reading alot about the TSB but have a few questions.

    - Are 2012 models covered?
    - Is it free under warranty?
    - How is eligibility for the TSB determined?
    - Is it the dealers choice as to whether or not I'm eligible?
    - Is having a 100lb tool box with 200lbs of tools gonna void my eligibility?
    - Can anyone other than the dealer do this inspection?

Thanks, i'm just hesitant because the dealer said if I am not eligible, "they would have to charge me 50$ for the inspection". which i think is complete bullshit. why would I give them 50$ so they can say sorry, we cant help you. thats retarded.

If you're truck is under warranty you shouldn't have to pay anything. :notsure:
I had the Spring TSB done in 2007 on my 2006.
The truck bottomed out and rode harsh over speed bumps unloaded or with minimal weight in the back.
From following the issue for years here, the key I have read is to go in with your complaint about harsh ride and truck bottoming out.
Each dealer handles it differently, some good, some not so good.
It isn't a free upgrade, it is a solution provided for a specific customer complaint during the warranty period.
Honestly, my 4 leaf pak wasn't much better.
On my 2013, I haven't noticed the same issue I had with the stock 3 leaf pack on my 2006.
As a TRD OR Toyota still only puts a 3 leaf pack in. I do not know what is different but I haven't had to open the issue up with Toyota.
If your leafs are riding harsh or bottoming out, the dealer needs to address it under warranty.
If a dealer wants to charge you maybe you can go to another dealer?

    Thanks.

Its not really bottoming out but the leafs are sagging so bad that my factory rake is now backwards lol. I do haul heavy loads a couple times a month but after only a year, this is kind of disappointing. Ill probably go with an ome or ironman lift anyways as soon as my stock dunlops are shot but just figured if i could get some new leafs under warranty for the time being i would feel better about toyotas lack of quality on their suspension.

just take it in and tell them it sags when you put a few bags of concrete in the bed. Print a copy of the TSB and show them

My '13 rides great and I've had it loaded up quite a few times. 15 buckets of drywall mud just the other day!
