    What I like:

-Toyota (stand up company that has excellent customer service)
-Tacoma (my first, but admired for years)
-TRD (the fun division of the company responsible for PERFORMANCE and cool logo bro)
-Off-Road (I get to play in the dirt)
    -4X4 (finally I have Marty's truck)
-Double Cab (friends and family, nope, just babes -I wish)
-Long Bed (so I can sleep in the bed I reasoned)
-Crawl Control (ima never gonna get stuck)
-Multi-Terrain Select (off road high tech! -since 2010)
-Pro Grille (love it so much I hydrodipped mine)
-Black (love the look hate the upkeep)
    -Bluetooth (works well for me)
-Pandora (automatically starts playing when I turn the truck on)
-Wireless Charging (works great with my Samsung phone)
-ECT PWR (turbo boost button aka Knight Rider)
-Power back window (the guy who came up with this give him a raise or her)
    -Quality (feels solid well built)
    -TPMS (triggers my OCD)
-Steering wheel audio controls (intuitive for me)
-Center Multi Info Display (more OCD)
-Design (personally I think it looks better than previous gens -fight me)
-Safety (knock on wood I never find out first hand, but everything I have seen tells me its a very safe truck that will protect the occupants)
    -GoPro mount (marketing genius)

The thing I didn't care about past Tacoma's and trucks in general was the light colored interior they came with. Love the all Black interior and the MT6. (Black TRD OR 4x4 SBDC MT6)

Mine has changed my life! When I had the Tundra I did everything I could to make it last a long time and barely drove it. I love the Tacoma so much I try to find excuses to drive it somewhere. It’s the first truck I’ve ever customized (all be it modest compared with ones here). I’ve gotten lots of compliments.
I may have 20 good years left, that means this Tacoma and 1 more! We’ve even camp in ours.

Check out my build thread (Beginning of Money Pit)
I liked my 2nd gen, and both 3rd gens I've owned.

All of these trucks are good looking. They have very good styling, the interior is not too "busy" like other vehicles I have driven. I like the Locker, and I like that on the 3rd gen I don't have to cut to put on 255s like the 2nd gen.

The third gen looks hard. I am always getting compliments on it. The auto sliding rear is great, and I got 21 (almost 22 mpg) coming into work today, with an OME lift /Dakar hds and 255 85s. My 05 got 17 on summer gas with load range e tires.

so, all in all, I really like the 3rd gen

I love the looks, the size is perfect (easier to park then my 2012 Taurus was!), decent gas mileage, and incredible aftermarket support!

I was walking across the parking lot at Lowe’s to my TRD yesterday when I saw a guy walking around it and really looking over the truck. I took my time so he could have time. Then he walked to his older Colorado.

I pulled into an Oncue in Tulsa. While filling the tank the guy on the other side of the pump came over and said “That is a really good looking truck.”

Makes my chest stick out with pride!

The thing I like best about Toyota trucks over my F150 is not dealing with oil leaks by 100k miles ... that 5.4 wheeped oil from everywhere. Oil pan, valve covers, fill tube, diff; if there was oil inside, the seals leaked.

Wow, great thread! I especially love the color (Inferno), the looks, the feel, the fact that it's a TACOMA (my third), the drive... Really just about everything!

The best thing about my previous second gen and current 3rd gen is the Manual Transmission.

The best thing about my Second gen was 199K miles with no oil leaks, no fuss, no shop time, all original OEM parts, 13K paid and 4500 received on trade-in.

I hope my 3rd gen goes to 200K miles.

My wife hates it when someone comes up and asks me how I like the truck - I never shut up and she has to drag me away!

I have a 2016 OR that has given me zero problems. I'm 65 years old and I've owned alot of vehicles in my life but I've had more compliments on this truck than anything else. After reading about all the problems that people say thay are having I thought I would list mine for sale since it is so rare. I think I could probably get at least $75000 for it.
