I paid $5K for my PreRunner SR5 DCLB with 128K miles, that made it the best for my wallet. Now I want to make it a SAS 4wd and destroy the resale value, lol, FTW.

I'm not vain enough to think my truck is the best.

but it is because it hauled my ass to UCSD Moores Cancer Center from Reno through a pretty good blizzard to have surgery that saved my life.

My grand-paw committed suicide and left it to me. Miss him dearly. But greatly appreciate the truck, I needed it. My 96 was on its last leg.

First Tacoma and absolutely love it. Drives like a truck, which l like.
She's bone stock. Which for me keeps things simple and reliable. l do all my own maintenance, and she's been very reliable.

What makes her great is the fact that she's mine, and she's all paid for. Plan on keeping her forever!!!

    Suicide sucks major ass

My brother committed suicide 27 years ago on 12/13/1992. Everyday I miss him. Keep on Keeping on. I’m sure your grand paw is happy you have his truck.

    ill echo that sentiment

moved to a truck because its just nice having a bed to throw firewood, fence posts, sandbags, barkdust, plants, 4x8 sheets of plywood, and anything and everything i dont want in the same space as myself and my passengers. I did the whole utility trailer+SUV thing for years and its just a pain.

at the same time, i'm not hauling a mini-ex so i dont need a full size 5th wheel. It still has 6,000 lb tow rating in a pinch (ironically i sold the utility trailer because i didnt need it anymore)

all that and its extremely easy to maneuver around town and the city. No issues parking whatsoever even with a DCLB. Back-in parking with a back-up camera is all you need.

basic maint, easy easy easy to work on + mods. Low cost of ownership. Fantastic value retention for an automobile. Reliable as hell. Love it.
