Badgers, I don't need no stinking Badgers.
I regret getting toytec adjustable coilovers instead of Fox, or Icon remote resi 2.5 extended travel, saved 400 bucks but now want the remote resi's so no savings at all...
Although at this point I may just wait and do long travel which was my plan to begin with, but I would rather have Icons while I wait to go LT.

I regret the 3" revtec. It was cheap, but the ride is rough when 4wheeling. Luckily I didn't buy it, but I've learned from it that when a mod is in process, do it right the first time...spend the money on something quality

Crazy as it sounds, I might just have to agree with you. If I was smart I would have taken the nearly 10k that the S/C has directly cost me already and put it towards something else. I'd be damn near 1/3 of the way to a new truck by now and I won't even get 2k for it when it comes time to sell the truck.

Hell, "performance" mods in general are the ones I regret the most. I can't even put this much power down from a standstill anyway. My truck does sound pretty boss for a V6 though... That being said will I do all this shit to my next vehicle? Probably :p I'll probably start with a better platform though.

I almost got the toytec adjustable COs, but then decided to get real COs, Icons, and am very happy I did.

Better platform than a Tacoma? Lies!

Haha, you switch systems on us. Did you lose 30-50 miles or kilometers per tank?

i regret wasting money on figuring out what tires and wheels i wanted to run when i first bought the truck in 08. first went with one set of procomp muds, then went terra grapplers, then jumped up to 18: rockstars and new terra grapplers to then go back to my stock 17"s and km2's.

wasted probably close to 5 grand in those 6 months. could have had a decent chunk of money towards a SAS with that cash.

Somewhat similar story but not as bad. The day after getting my truck my gf and I were on our way home from a party. She opted to paint the side of my truck and inside passenger door with puke doing 60 mph down the high way at 3 AM. Thankfully the local car wash is 24 hour service.

As far as mod regrets... 285/70/17's. They look damn good but all the fender well cutting, bashing, and cutting off and welding of the cab mount was/is a PITA. Going to cut off the CMC I already did and do an even more aggressive one as it appears I'm still rubbing on it.

If it were me, it's not the quantity, but the quality. I find they sound like a 1992 Z24 with no muffler (crappy).

    I have a rust mod, but I like that one...reduces weight :D

But really, the mod I wish I didn't do was when I first got my CB it was super cold out and I just wanted it installed so I drilled three big holes into the glovebox and ended up moving it later.

    Oh well :p

Icon C/O, Icon 2.0 Resi's, LR UCAs, Alcan 8 leaf pack, Aero 2525XL, Michelin LTX MS2, Lifetime LED heads and fogs (bad company and product - don't buy), aFe Pro Dry filter, Weathertech mats, Best Top, Hybrid Audio, Arc Amp, Arc Sub, Ram matting, Core/Hurst Short Throw Shifter, OEM Bed Mat, Antenna X....
I have had mine since Apr 2005 and I would say:

Not upgrading the audio system sooner (speakers and head unit)
I wish I would have bought something different than an Alpine (Kenwood or Pioneer). If feel like the Alpine can't handle "ssss" and sounds more digital than the Kenwood or a higher end HU. Also working with and paying someone who basically told me to do everything instead of working himself....

I wish I would have gotten a Wicked Flow or an Aero Turbine instead of the Magnaflow.

Also I wish I would have not went with dual exhausts because its louder than just the stock pipe on the passenger side...whats the point of spending 3k on a stereo when the exhaust is loud in your ear...

I wish I would have gone RTS or LED instead of the cheaper HID's that I have. I have been blinding people for too long....

I wish I would have got steep bumpers so when in SF people would think twice about rubbing me when parking....

I wish I would have gotten Wet Okle covers before I let the dogs inside...

Wish I would have gotten the soft top sooner to carry music gear so I could fit more people and gear in rainy weather

I wish the dealer would have known about the throw out bearing while my warranty was still good...I just bought the urd part, new clutch and will be taking it to Midas soon do install and also take off the magnaflow for a aero 2525xl....

I need new shocks and was set on 5100s till I read this thread, so nice find. sub'd
