Hey guys, new to the site and new to owning a Tacoma. So I have a few basic questions I'm trying to find answers to.
I just bought a 2000 Tacoma Prerunner 3.4L v6. There are no badges on it, no trd logos on the rear other than the prerunner v6 on the tailgate. I do have the rr diff lock switch on the left of my steering wheel. I have auto locks and windows, cruise control, a button that says pwr extrano norm, overdrive button on the gear shift, a handle that says press button and turn, cd player with cassette tape combo radio, 15 inch wheels, 6ft bed I'm assuming, yellow shocks and has skid plates. All I can really tell you guys at this point.

    1. Does it have the trd package?
    2. Do I have a SR5 or limited?
    3. Where are the best places to get replacement parts?

Thanks, any help would be great!

I found this quote in an old post...maybe it will help you

Oh yeah and incase anyone else wants to look up the info on their truck.... I found out that on the NADA website they have a VIN check, which if you enter your VIN number will tell you if the truck is/was any or all of the following PreRunner, TRD, SR5, Limited.

    1. Yes
    2. You definitely have the SR5 package but I don't know enough about the limited package to say yes or no.
    3. For aftermarket and some OEM: rockauto.com (there's also a 5% discount code for TW members. For OEM: camelback toyota online.

Sounds like an Sr5 TRD. Limited models were known for the leather interiors so I would rule that out.

As far as I know all TRD trucks were SR5 but not all SR5 were TRD

Limiteds on the first gen didn't offer leather. If I recall, the limited sorta took place for what the SR5 used to be. I think it had chrome mirrors and different seats.

    Also, welcome to Tacomawold!

its a trd package. if you were asking what the "push button and turn" handle was its the handbrake.

Limited models have leather wrapped steering wheel, chrome mirrors and door handles, color matched fender flares and bumper, also has different seats, leather seats were never offered in 01-04 Tacoma trucks. I have one.
