    I definitely think my first mod will be wheels and tires. So I can go up to 16" wheels?

    Definitely feelin' the wheels. Those wheels on it look cheesy!

    So any suggestions on some wheels?

    If you have the t.p.m.s. on it , consider wheels that the sensor will fit, or just store them in a pvc pipe. I bought aluminum toyota wheels slightly used, lot nicer than steel ones.

    Well, I have to be careful about the lift right now. I had to go with this truck because I am taking care of my little Momma who couldn't climb into the Prerunner. Will lift make it sit higher?

    Yeah a lift is going to make it sit higher, if your mom can barely get into that a 3" is out of the option but it's not tooo bad specially since yours is already so low.

    It sits higher than my old 94 toyota truck, and higher than cars. She can get into it with a little hop, but even I had to climb into that Prerunner.

    I call mine a "city truck". I have gotten mine stuck twice turning around in driveways.

    My mods have been aftermarket radio w/XM and a removable box/trunk in the bed. I have LED to put in for bed lights and I also have some to go under the truck at the door to see when I open the door at night.

    I almost forgot that I have a new hood, roof and paint job... but that was due to hail.

    Undercover Tonneau cover
    I'd go in the order of:
    * Wheels/Tires
    * Tonneau Cover
    * Smoked/darker LED rear 3rd Light
    * Smoked/darker Taillights
    * Intermittent Windshield Wipers (If your truck didn't already come with it)
    * Cruise Control (If your truck didn't already come with it)
    * Smoked/darker Headlights
    * Fog Lights
    * Mesh grill
    * Tint the windows
    * Replace the stock stereo/sound system (if it's going bzonkers on you like mine is, damn haunted piece of crap)
    * Seat Covers

    But that's just my opinion on what to do to a base 4x2

    it's a MINI get it right :p

    and my truck has been called cute on a couple occasions :mad: lol

    just get some nice rims...and SLAM 'UM!

    nah nah but yeah some nice clean rims...nothing to crazy...therye's a lot of oem rims that'll fit on our LITTLE trucks...the bolt pattern's 5X114.3...basically what most cars use nowadays so finding even OEM rims would be easy that'd help the look of the truck out.

    as for the rims for all practical uses don't go too big if you want performance and keep a decent amount of tire...16, 17, 18" are all g if you get anything bigger than that well then your on your own

    Okay, yall. I woke up and realized that I never properly introduced myself. :laugh:
    Yall don't know why I even have a city truck (I like that term much better than taquito, although taquitos are still tasty little niblets! LOL!) besides the fact that I have Little Momma to drive around. I have owned two toyota trucks previously, both were 2wd, and I drove both OFF ROAD and they took it like little champs! LOL! Granted, they weren't extreme off road ventures, but I broke my first truck in in the hill country and drove lots of hilly "pre" roads, fields, a few small streams, and paved but very steep roads. I also live in a highly flood prone area, so I had to make my own road more times than I can count. 2WDs can hop curbs just fine if you know what you're doing! I don't do malls, I haul stuff frequently, and I live in hurricane country, so I do have to pack all of my critters, Momma, and any worldly possessions that fit after Momma and the critters into my ride and head for higher ground every few years.

    So, that's why I'm thinking wheels and possibly AT tires first. They might not make sense for the usual 2wd taquito driver, but I have never been called usual! ;)
