I think an upgraded 4cyl with 200hp and atleast 200 lb.ft torque would be a good base engine

An upgraded V6 OR I6 with atleast 280lbft of torque and 280hp

    A 4.6 V8 with its 300+ hp and 320lb ft of torque

A small 4cyl diesel with 180hp and 300lb ft of torque.

On second thought. Instead of a V6. A nice torquey Inline 6 would be awesome.

Mmm certainly enough room, you guys have a football field in between the engine and the grille already. I do love my big I6 in the land cruiser

What ever engine they want, just put TRD supercharger back in production. If that is asking too much, a V6 Twin turbo eco boost :D:crapstorm:

    I like it.

The one I've used in Central America a few times is quite peppy.

I like the 3.5L V6 it came with. Plenty of power, and better than expected fuel economy.

If history is any indication, you'll continue to see the same 3.5 in all future 3rd gens.

It was suggested from the IH8MUD that the next generation of Tundras will be receiving an all new Turbo diesel Inline 6. The leaker stated it can or will make its way into the tacoma (mid cycle refresh) or 4runner (complete refresh).

    Just a messenger.

I know nothing of toyota developing a Turbo inline 6. Or.. I was just trolled.

They just need a 2L turbo 4 and the turbo 3L
If you want v8 power buy a full-size truck

I said the same thing, which ruffled some feathers, because whoever they kept name dropping (a fucking nobody) swore he had the super black on black intel. Yuhuh.

I'd go for a 4 cylinder turbo like the new Ranger but with a MT.
