Hi, I'm new to Tacoma World. I look forward to exploring the site. I've been working on my 2010 Tacoma 4.0, and there's a bracket with a post mounted to the driver's side head between then engine and firewall. It looks like a grommet fitting should mount on it. Any ideas? Thank you!

That's a hardline for your transmission breather...

It appears yours is blocked off from the factory, why I don't know buy I'm assuming it's because of your trucks variant and Toyota deeming it unnecessary for your model?

You could definitely remove it drill out the capped end and add a rubber hose with a breather on the end. My 08 doesn't even have it at all as the breather on that a750e just sits right on top the bell housing.

Thanks, Karl. Ill probably leave it as is. Maybe the cap isn't sealed and allows for an air vent.

Yep... that cap is the breather vent. Wouldn't make sense to run a breather line only to seal it shut.
