That Cooper is a very good tire. I had them on my second gen Taco. They actually clean out surprisingly well for a milder AT tire. Now, if you drive mostly on the highway and don't wheel off road much then the Michelin AT2 is a great tire, much more round and easier to balance an the Cooper. That was the last tire I had on my second gen. My needs are much different now so I'm using more aggressive tires. Also, I like, despite what some may say, the stock GY Wrangler Adventure with Kevlar tires. They are extremely quiet and have good road manners. They are stock on the OR and Pro but to me they are also too pricey. There are a lot of tire articles on here to search as well. BTW, welcome to TW!

Pavement pounders do well with Michelin Defenders.

ATs on a 2wd might folk wonder if the owner has other faux quirks.

I've seen guys run milder ATs on 2WD and they worked out OK. I haven't owned a 2WD in a long time. :)

lol i know what you mean but i do a good bit of offroad driving to get to work and to the deer camp. so regular street tires usually wont do the job. i ran into this problem alot in my 2nd gen i had.

Not sure the Defender qualifies as a 'regular' street tire.

You might use the search engine, entering the various models of tires you are considering, to see what folks have to say about each of them.

    Have fun shopping.
