    Still thinking about it.
I find people's used oil at the dump and add it when the oil light comes on. But only if it stays on. And only if it has some good rattles to verify that the light is not a false alarm.

    :)

OEM filter, the cheapest oil you can find that meets owners manual standards, and get yourself a Fumoto valve (Google it if you’ve never heard of it).

No reason to flame. It's been shown time and time again that ST synthetic is an excellent oil and that the Fram Ultra is the best filter you can buy.

People need to hang out on

I’ve always use Mobil1 and the Toyota 90915-YZZD3 filters. You can catch the oil at Costco on sale around 26 dollars for six quarts. The filters come from online Toyota dealers 10 to a case and end up costing me a little over four dollars apiece and they include crush washers. At these prices and doing the labor yourself it’s cheaper than paying for regular Dino oil and some punk named Eric messing up your truck.

You need to rethink that. According to Lubes and Greases a industry trade magazine aimed at distributors, engineers and those inside the industry inspectors are constantly finding no name oils being passed off which do not meet specifications. I’d suggest you take the time to review Lubes and Greases to see who and how this testing is taking place. It’s a problem which doesn’t get much publicity but do you want to take a chance? x2 on www.bobistheoilguy.com educate yourself.
