Another vote for the oe filter. Does what it's supposed to, and it's Toyota's fault if it doesn't! They're really cheap ordered in 3 packs online

Still waiting for my 2023 SR5 Celestial Silver V6. I've been running Champ/Luber-Finer P967 filters in our 2014 Rav4; $2.54 at Rock Auto. They look identical to the equivalent Fram, ACDelco, and Walmart filters I've seen. Love the plastic ends. With shipping they run me about $3.80.
We have 198,000 on the RAV now with no issues. Never have to add any oil to top it off. Changing oil and filter at 3,000 miles. Phillips Choice 0W-20 Syn Blend. Whatdoyathink?Champ:.png

Been continuing to use the same toyota oil filters the dealer did.
Changing the oil at 3k is fine if back in the 70's using dino oil, but way excessive in todays day, and age. We use highly developed synthetics with better filters now, plus have cleaner running engines, so there's no need for that anymore.
My brother traded in his old rav4 with nearly 200k miles doing the 10k manufacture oil changes for the new hybrid one. That 2010 rave4 of his ran perfect still, the tech that serviced it said he's seen many he's done with 10k oil changes, go over 250k without any issues. My brother knowing the mileage was getting up there, just wanted new with better fuel economy.

    i use the OE too.

if you asked me to find a reason to not use the OE oil filter, i couldn't. it is readily available and inexpensive to buy. no worries about fit or performance.

Same as I did, got a 3 pack online for $15.00 + about $4 for shipping. They are original toyota made in Thailand.

I use the TRD Filters, but the Amsoil version. I change my oil every 5k.

I'm going to be switching over to WIX on my next oil change though.
