So here it is, jumping in on a lift kit finally. I'm getting a dakars leaf pack with the OME AAL. Need it for towing plus my shell and future mods that will add weight. Is anyone using this set up and if so what did you put up front to make it level. I'm thinking 885s with spacers will do, but from what I read, it will still leave a rake to my truck, but not to sure how much. seems like everyone's is different. so should I go with the 887's, I know they are 5mm higher, so am I going to need spacers with this set up as well? If any one has the dakars with aal, what are you using in the front. If it helps I have a 13' DCSB offroad. plan on getting a hidden winch mount and avid light bar as well in the future. I off road consistently but no jumping and its my daily.

    Thanks in advance.

Dakars plus an AAL is going to be a lot of lift and a pretty stiff ride. Have you considered something like AAL or Dakars paired with airbags?

How much weight do you plan on adding to the rear of the truck? I have the full OME lift with 885's in the front and Dakars on the back. I have about an 1" maybe 1.5" of rake. With 2 300 quart marine coolers completely filled, gear for 5 men (with 4 of them in the truck) and a bass boat on the back it sat level.

Mine has a little more rake now due to the plate bumper I put up from but not bad.

Thanks for the replies, eventually I would like to add a relentless rear bumper. currently I have a snugtop w/ sportsman package on the back, two large dogs, misc gear ( couple of jerry cans, hi-lift). I tow either my 19ft runabout or my 6x 12 trailer loaded with 2 atvs and 4 kayaks. this doesn't include the camping gear, coolers etc for all of us. My main concerns is the dakars relaxing over time, so I think the aal's would help especially with the trailer/boat I tow. I wouldn't mind a little rake, since it would level out with all the stuff I tow. how rough of ride would I have if my truck was empty? I can get estimates from the manufactures plus this web site, so I expect about 3 inchs in the back, but I'm not sure what I need to get a mostly level front end.
