I test drove all over the place: All the midsizes, a Sierra, a new F150, a Wrangler, Grand Cherokee etc. I loved the Taco by far the most, if I didn’t care what other people thought and the Taco didn’t exist like others have said I probably would’ve picked a Pro 4x Frontier.

Picked a third for the MT and the fact that it had zero rust on it.

I was able to test drive a Colorado ZR2 and although it looked nice and aggressive, the deal breaker was the build quality of it and the rear seats not folding like the tacoma.

I have a co-worker that has a Colorado Z71 and I'll say I'm glad I didn't end up with one. ZR2 or not. The interior feels a step below the Tacoma IMO. After an hour in both the front and back seats, I'll say there is room for improvement there. The Tacoma seating is far from perfect, but for me, its the best of the mid-size trucks.

Traded it in. It was starting to have a lot of expensive issues and I need a reliable vehicle for daily commute.

    Still stock completely capable!
When I was looking for a new vehicle I test drove
-F150: didn’t like how it had more button and electronics than a space ship since I plan to keep my vehicle forever I don’t want something with that much to go wrong.
-Tundra: HUGE truck beautiful but didn’t need that size and didn’t want the fuel bill.
-4Runner: actually what I wanted when shopping but I have 300lbs worth of drooling stinky dogs and didn’t want to throw them inside my truck and stink it up lol!
-FJ cruiser: god I love these things but wanted to have something a little more comfortable for a daily and want to get a MT FJ down the road for pure fun.
-Colorado ZR2: never drove it as I looked inside at the rental car interior and just laughed and walked off the lot.
-Jeep rubicon(buddys): took one for a burn around the block, didn’t hate it but HATE Fiat and refuse to give them any $$ would consider a earlier year one day also as a fun weekend basher.
-Silverado1500 6.2 (buddys): this thing was fast to fast and with B.C. Canada’s new speeding laws and my lead foot I knew it would spend a lot of time on the back of a tow truck on the way to a impound lot same as the F150 too fast!

Finally 2018 off-road Short bed Tacoma. LOVED the looks, LOVED the interior! Loved how the A/T drove. Loved how it big enough and small enough at the same time. Loved looking at fuel economy and seeing the gauge not dive. Went online and watched some guys take stock tacos everywhere off-road. And then my uncle who is also my service mechanic gave me a sweet deal and I knew it the search was over! I strongly recommend you drive everything you can get your hands on so days, weeks, months later you are not sitting in traffic and see another vehicle go by and kick yourself for not buying that instead. Over a year later and still smile when I walk up to my truck and smile the whole time I drive it! I am now a Toyota Fan boy and plan to add ALOT more Toyota’s to the family!

None, as my '96 Tacoma has 413,000 trouble-free on it and still going strong, why would I even consider anything other than another Tacoma.
