The lady drives a 2019 (2020?) diesel 4WD Chevy Colorado Z71. The 4WD knob is in a shit location (she's managed to engage it with her left knee), the headache rack thing is stupid, and the spare tire sits way too low, but it rides nice, it's comfortable inside, and it gets 1.5-2x the gas mileage of my Tacoma.

That being said, since it's effectively a commuter for us, she's probably going to flip it for a Tesla Model 3 in the near future.

The work truck! It's a 2012 F-150 STX, 3.7 V6 and 4WD. Nothing remotely fancy, but it's a very good workhorse. Top pic is at work, the bottom was taken at the shop next to my friend's truck.

I think the only things I’ve replaced are tires, batteries, hoses, belts brakes, the fuel tank cap and stuff like that. Not much goes wrong with these things. Even if something did happen, I really can’t complain about a 21 year old vehicle, having a problem. F0E26372-D0EC-484F-B500-1216C3134D73.jpg

So this is a cool story. My grandfather bought this car back in 1978, he then gave it to my father sometime in the 1990s after he graduated from grad school at MSU, and now its some-what in my hands. My father drove the hell out of this car and put over 300,000 miles on the odometer. The exterior and bodywork was restored in the mid 2000s, that included a full repaint, decals/emblems replaced, and rust repair. The engine, transmission, and some other important driving components had a full rebuild in the late 2000s. Unfortunately my father died in 2013 from cancer, he was only 43 and I was 11. My dad promised me that I would inherit this car if he dies, but I don't think he expected me to be so young when he died so the car has been taken care of by my dads best friend in Marshall, Michigan. I'm taking a trip up to Michigan this summer to finally see this car once again because I haven't seen it in person or received any pictures of it since 2013. The condition of the car prior to my fathers death was immaculate, and luckily the guy looking after it has been keeping it in a climate controlled garage to keep the body work in mint condition. Hopefully I can bring it home soon, but it might take some time because I'd rather have it running perfectly before I bring it down to North Carolina.

I'm still waiting for the specs because I don't know if it has the 400ci or the 403ci 6.6L V8

My other car is a ‘14 STI hatch, which was my daily until I got the taco. My wife drives a lifted ‘17 Forester XT Touring (2.0 DIT).

Just got some great news that my Trans Am is apparently still running and can drive! I haven't given my hopes up on it yet. I'll most likely have the engine rebuilt, but for now its staying up in Michigan. Still waiting for pictures of the car so hopefully they come in soon.

    Update on the specs:

    6.6L V8 Pontiac 400ci Engine
    350,000+ last recorded mileage
    Engine is original
I do recall the transmission and differential was rebuilt at some point

New to me 2012 Corolla S 5 speed. I just recently broke it. Totally my fault but eh I digress. Mechanic gave me a steep price on what would make most people fall back and lose their wig. Having no gf, wife, kids, child support or alimony. I'm pulling the trigger. I like this car:spending:IMG_20220221_182634112.jpg
