    Going 2 try iridum plugs in my 08 4.0 cant see changing plugs every 30 thou miles what part # on the plugs 2 use

    Bump cause I think Chris4x4 has a ton more info about this...but in short does not recommend using plugs other than the stock set up.

    Yea, I think the 4.0 runs better on standard plugs or Toyota would have put iridiums in the engine like they did the 2.7. :notsure:

    Not sure about the part where it runs better/worse, but I know people have been breaking them when they come out. Kinda scares me now because I installed them awhile ago on my truck..... sorry I forget the P/N though. You can find them online though, I wanna say it had a K20 in the P/N.

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.

    Correct. The 1GR-FE seems to run best with the OEM Nickle/Copper plugs.

    OP. Changing the plugs is an easy DIY, and being its a good idea to check your plugs every 30K anyway, to monitor how the engine is running, I reecomend just using the OEM plugs, and changing at 30K.
