    Hi!
This is my first post, since I just got a 2009 Tacoma TRD Pro. I've had great luck with forums for my other vehicles, so I'm hoping someone here can help.

The rear seat interior door pull handle (part 7465304010B0) has pulled out of the door panel due to a broken plastic clip. The online diagram looks like the bracket (part 6762504030) doesn't include the plastic clip. I haven't taken the interior door panel apart yet, since I was hoping to wait until I have the replacement part.

Does anyone know what plastic piece I need to get the interior door pull handle attached again?

Here's a picture looking down into the opening, so you can see the broken clip:

    Thanks!

Sorry. Wish I knew. I patched mine up with a home-made metal clip to reinforce it. No pictures. Good luck to you!

That would work . Home depot or Lowes carry those . Comes in different sizes .

So you're suggesting using a longer screw and doubling up on the grommets? Or maybe I just need to figure out a grommet that is the right size to fit through the metal hole, but still expand enough to hold in there. Or once I take the door apart I can put the grommet below the metal hole and secure it somehow (I love gaff tape!), then screw down into it.

There is still the original grommet on the handle, but it looks a little bent. Probably best to use a new one that is really flat on top if I want to try the "tape under the metal opening" approach...

Take off white plastic insert from screw and go to hardware store and match it up. Pop new one onto metal then install door panel and screw it in . You still might be able to use that one but may as well pick up a new one . Seems like someone pulled it off with out unscrewing .

    No, use one.
Di just as the guy above said.
Get a new one. Pop it in the square middle hole in your first picture.

Thanks for confirming what is being suggested! I assumed that broken plastic piece inside the door was relevant, but sounds like it's not (or at least not critical).

Not sure when it came loose, but it was discovered when an elderly friend was pulling the door closed - it just came off in his hand. I hadn't noticed it being loose before (nor had the people who sit in back previously), but who knows...

Off to the hardware store to get a replacement screw grommet!

The broken piece in the door helps secure to door panel. I think you will be just fine. There’s other things that hold it in place too. I wouldn’t worry about it.
