Not to badmouth anybodys deal but the stay in business by making money not giving everyone a "deal"

They gave me $4500 for my 2003 matrix w/ 100k miles on it. pretty decent deal. I got the truck used for $17000 4x4 TRD OR package, w/ 56k miles. so ended up out the door for about 14k after everything for an certified used truck. not bad.

however i did get the dealer optional broken 4wd system. but they're fixing it for free (even if it's been like 3 weeks of a process.)

Used is a different story cause if you got a good deal that means whoever traded it in didn't get crap! It all comes full circle

There isn't a ton of money made out of a sale on a new car. It's all the extras like dealer installed options, Toyota financing, Manufacturer to dealer incentives where a dealer can make some money. Used car sales bring in the most on a unit to unit comparison.

That's exactly true but that's why dealers mark up and that's why they want trades to bad!

Not trying to offend anyone I say as long as your happy with the "deal" you got then good for you!

black bull bar & black step bars, fog lights w/ halo DRLs, AFE Pro Dry air filter, OEM bed mat and door sill protectors, window tint, 17" ADR black w/ machined lip wheels...just getting started, more to come!
For $19k, I got my Tacoma for free.

During the purchase, I opened a Toyota Rewards Card and max it out at $2k as downpayment assistance then I paid the bill off the following month. I went and redeemed all my rewards points and got a free OEM bed mat and OEM door sill protectors. :)

    Looking!
After about half an hour of negotiation, they sold the truck for invoice price, which, after looking at Edmunds.com invoice estimate, was pretty good. When we picked the truck up, our salesperson threw in a new set of Tacoma carpeted floormats. We are still quite happy with the deal.

I got nothing. But I did get them to 400 over invoice, no negotiating. Went to Edmunds.com and kbb.com. Built the car I wanted and called around. Was way less than the sticker price.. which i didnt even see.

I got a couple paint chips on the hood and front end, a dented rear crome bumper and associated creased rear fender (all very slight), and uh... oh yeah 1/4 tank of gas. But seriously, bought my 2006 4cyl 2wd auto AC SR5 last August for $16k out the door, 40k miles, with new tires and a fresh oil change. I guess the age and mileage still means its under warranty? Maybe I should check into that... :p

Back in 2006 I got my 06 Dbl Cab 4x4 TRD Sport LONG BED They gave me full tank of gas ans tried to get me to use Toyota financing. I had my own funds through my credit union. My truck had almost all options, with sticker of $31,867.00 They offered me one without TRD for $28,000, but I wanted TRD Sport. I have improved the suspension with Old Man Emu Front struts & OME886 Springs, and put OME/Dakar Leaf springs in the rear. That gave it a 3" lift all around. I also put the ARB front bumper and 10,000LB T-Max winch. See Photos: [IMG] Make sure you ask for the Bed Extender, it comes in handy even with the long bed. Also I use this truck off-roading and it's great! Check out my photos at: http://s873.photobucket.com/albums/ab297/515983/03-27-10/

I have the perfect opportunity to purchase a new taco for $4,500 off MSRP. I really want a new double cab MGM long bed and trade in my '07 indigo access cab. However, I'm getting orders (AF) any month and it's possible I'm going overseas, which means buying a truck now would be useless. I'm so torn!!
