Profile people. If I learned anything from Columbine, it's to avoid anyone in a black trench coat. If someone is decked out in military gear but clearly not a soldier, I avoid them. If someone is wearing a ski mask and it's above freezing, I avoid them. If someone is wearing baggy clothes, I avoid them.

Sorry cupcake. In my defense the title of the thread is "What personal protection do YOU keep in your Tacoma?" I responded accordingly.

With all due respect, I don't think you actually read my account, which if you are affiliated with law enforcement as your badge is leading us to believe, that worries me that you don't actually pay attention to a what a potential victim is reporting. On the same note, if you didn't read it thoroughly, why do you insist on making comments on what I wrote? Or are you trying your damnedest to fit both feet in your mouth? "I sweep my jacket back and put my hand on my Kimber." I was not brandishing a weapon, I was not doing some Paul Blart "turn and make them think you have a gun" bullshit. I put my hand on my gun anticipating either a rush from one of the two (or both) or the presentation of a weapon, at which time I would of drawn and fired.

I am not arguing that if I didn't have two guys between myself and the store that it would of been a little safer to do, you are right, but what am supposed to do, ask them, "Woh wait a second before you rob me, I forgot something in the store, you mind if I squeeze past?" I had no truly safe avenue of retreat except to abandon my vehicle and go running into the hilltop of Tacoma which is no place for a scared whiteboy.

Now, If that is sarcasm in response to the absurdity of turning your back on two guy attempting to rob you, then I applaud your common sense haha

No problem Muffin , I just find humour in the fact that almost no one actually reads the OP of a thread
