As a concealed permit holder, I always carry my Glock 19 with me in which I keep it in the middle console or right beside the driver's seat during long drives (I have a holster that holds the pistol and tucks in nicely right in between the driver seat and the console). If a firearm isn't feasible for you,I also have a crow bar in the rear storage compartment in the back of the truck, a mini crow-bar in a miniature organizer pouch in the glove-compartment as well as a huge Maglite flashlight behind one of the rear seats which, seeing as it is a HUGE flashlight, can be used for smacking fools with lol.

LOL that's because they were / are Canucks fans! ha ha ha

I'm just north of Moronto, Bantario and we will never come close to any playoffs because the Leafs (well, they are just the Leafs). And I'm an Edmonton Oilers fan at the bottom of the standings so everyone chirps me at work. LOL

    Keeping it real!

    Cheers all,

    Barney

PS: I'm lucky to live in a rural area so it's bear spray, kershaw folder (with assist), and a SureFire G2 in my console of the 2010 Tacoma!

And to pull it back on topic a bit....

Guys, read the OP. He specifically asked for items of protection other than a gun.

Right now I have a SOG tactical tomahawk and a Kimber Pepper Blaster II in my work Tacoma. I can't take firearms into the facilities were I work. And I always have a knife or two on me. Got a couple railroad spikes in the bed too....
