Hey Torspd-thanks for the info! Unfortunately, whatever the problem with the truck is, it's it's more serious than just spark plugs. Mine looked good.

Time to get home and get it torn apart!

You may see a new thread here soon where I'll be asking for help as I tear into it.

I run the highest octane I can fine. Usually it's 91 sometimes only 90. My truck is all stock except for Gadgets headers, banks exhaust, and TRD gen1 intake.

Also Torspd, are you a mod over on XRU? I have a question about getting my membership to work over there. I will PM you if so?

Well shit. Just found this while looking at Denso's website! :D Amazon was recommending the IKH20 to me for my Tacoma. Apparently that's warmer than IKH22, which is warmer than IKH24.

Denso doesn't have an online guide to tell you which plugs work for your vehicle like NGK does.

I'm not supercharged though. Think it even matters for me?

Unclear. What is bad if I'm Naturally Aspirated? The colder spark plugs?

Because we are supercharged, our engines run leaner due to the increase in additional air being forcefully induced through the intake. We require colder plugs so we can counteract the additional heat being created by the hotter combustion temperatures created by the supercharger. Your plugs recommended from the factory allow the engine to run optimal at the combustion temps being created by the natural air being introduced to the combustion chambers.

    In short. LEAVE THEM BE.

Yes you want to run 2 step cooler plugs, so IK22 is where it's at.

Stock plugs are IK16, they go up in increments of 2. Since there are no IK18 plugs you want to use IK22.

At the bottom of this thread there's a "Products Discussed" portion with a link to some Denso IK22 plugs, those will work. It says "does not fit your vehicle" on Amazon but only because those are not the plugs that Toyota recommends in the manual, but that's because Toyota recommends the normal IK16 plugs that the non-supercharged 3.4l engine uses.

    They will work
