    Hey guys...
P265/70/R16 load C Michelin LTX MS2's on my 2WD DCSB V6 PreRunner. Best pressure for wear and ride? I'm 99% on road. I've seen anywhere from 32-36. I was going to try 35psi.

    Thanks.

For new tires; they put in the high pressure to set the rims.

Thank you for all the advice. I just checked mine from the install yesterday. 42 RF, 40 RR, 40LF, 41LR. I know they put 40+ to seal the bead against the rim, but I thought they would actually set them once they were on the truck. :( 35psi for starters.

I'm at 32 but for the most part it's personal preference (within reason).

They should have, Shops like that I would avoid, if they can't do a simple tire change, what can they do????

Ditto, 32psi works nice for me, good ride/even wear.

Totally agree. I blew out a side wall on my ms2 last week when some guys ski pole went flying off his roof rack. Had two new ms2s mounted. Went to STS tire to have them mounted n balanced. A tire shop, how could they screw up something so simple... they totally botched the tire balance. I didn't even give them a chance to fix it. Went straight to the dealer who balanced them properly. Back to a buttery smooth ride these tires deliver. I wish I had a tire machine in my shop so I didn't have to use these guys. Such a rip off.

    ??

P rated is not C load. If they are C load they would be LT. I didn't think Michelin made these in a 6 ply.

I did mine with the same pressures on the door of my truck. mine came with this size stock, and I run Michelins.

Tire pressure will be dictated by the load rating of the tire. Costco did this when installing my Michelins (10 ply) referring to the tire specs and my trucks specs. I'm guessing most places just ballpark it. I have emailed a manufacturer and asked them what PSI to run in my vehicle for the tire I bought and they got back to me pretty quickly if you want to bother with it. (it was Cooper)

Costco is good for some things but tire prices suck.i bought my Michelins LTX MS/2 from Toyota dealer probably for close to $200 cheaper.I run at 35 psi.

265/70-17s, chalk puts them at 33 front and 31 rear.
