I would like to upgrade the speakers in the 2007 Prerunner that I just got. Below is the stock radio. It looks like this isn't the Entune. Which one is this?[IMG]

    Too few to list.
Welcome to the site. The Entune are touch screens. This one you have is just plain old stock unit. I suggest upgrading it so your speakers will have decent RMS power to them.

Money's real tight. I'm actually only looking to get more mids. I'm not an audiophile, but would like to clean the sound up some.

    A thing or two...
That's just the base radio. Entune wasn't introduced until 2012.

been looking around, and , it looks like you can do an Entune upgrade on the older trucks. I have an 09 with the stock radio like the one in the picture. I am wondering,, if I get a unit from BestBuy that is display, can it be hooked up to the left steering wheel controls for Mode, and volume? I think, if i get the right hand column attachment, for the BT, I can use that in the unit then, or would going to an Entune unit be easier? I miss my T$R, for the 2din unit I had in it. :)

BASE RADIO!??! That's a bona-fide SIX DISC CD CHANGER BISH! So rad.

Anyway... Probably a replacement HU is the best first step IMO. MOAR POWAH! Only then will you start getting really sad about the quality of the OE speakers. Since money is tight, take your time and don't make mistakes buying stuff you're going to replace again out of sheer disappointment.

Understandable but for as little as $40, you can get a CD player that's better than what you have and pushing 16 RMS watts, 50 peak.

issue with upgrading door speakers is that the factory amp is too poo poo to actually make good use of nice speakers.
