    I highly recommend HamStudy.org

Some people prefer good old fashion book studying, but for me taking the HamStudy practice tests and going through the study questions really helped (35/35 on my Tech ).

As you go through the study questions, it will remember what you struggle with and make sure to re-ask those questions until you get them right.

There is a HamStudy iOS/android app as well and if you create an account it will sync your progress with the website.

    Good luck!

Hamstudy.org is good, and was developed by my instructors son.

Hamwhisperer on Youtube is really good as well, because he explains the answers and sometimes has handy things like mnemonics to help you remember the answers.

Also just so it's clear the Yaesu FTM-400 and Kenwood TM-D710 are only two of many options for amateur radios.

They happen to be two of the most expensive ones you can buy. I don't want a prospective ham thinking you *must* spend $400+ to get a good radio. For basic trail communication you can budget about $100 to $150 and get a basic-but-high quality radio new and less if you find something used.

It's very easy to feature creep when shopping for them so really do set a budget and stick to it. You can always sell and upgrade later, generally ham radios can be sold without too much difficulty.
