I feel more confident on my claim because I can actually spot myself doing things wrong and correcting myself. That's pretty much why I feel comfortable saying I am probably better than 95% of the drivers out there.
 although you were the second reply on my other rant...
WHAT?!?!? I haven't seen that yet...don't really want to but it could make for an interesting story.
I saw a minivan skip the curb and skid across the grass and slam into a light post and knock the whole thing down, van had no front end left at the Oakland Airport's entrance when you go under the runway or whatever it is.

When I was younger I was a little like you. The best thing to do is nothing at all. Because if you start to lose your focus on the road you can cause a car crash of some sort and what are you going to tell the Officer than? Sometimes if a driver behind me tailgates me bad I will really f**k with them by letting off the throttle and slow down 10 to 15 MPH below the speed limit. And don't look at them when they look at you that also pisses them off. But I really don't do that much anymore, just learn not to care about them anymore. It also sounds like you are trying to be a good driver and we do need more of you here in CA.

I usually don't do anything but when you look back and see this woman shaking her head at you as she's like 3 feet off the rear end of the vehicle when you're going the speed limit with a lane ready for passing is just really annoying. But who cares. It's in the past and her car is probably half way around a light post by now.
I've slowed down like that before...same street too, this Asian guy in his Mercedes was tailgating me and I was driving slowly as I do and I just slowed down since I was already going 5 over the limit I slowed down to 5 under the limit. Fun stuffs. But he didn't mind like most Asian drivers. So he was ok.
I try my best to be a good driver, like if I see myself doing something wrong (excluding slight speeding: +/-5MPH on the limit) I try to correct it quickly and safely. I wish the people would just slow it down sometimes and just watch out for safety instead of saving time getting wherever.
You've only got one shot at life, don't want to end it in a car.
