I love the look of method wheels too. I wanted the 304s in raw machined finish. I maybe over thinking it but I wanted as light as possible. The 304s in a 16 are around 24 pounds. The Fn 5 stars I have are around 18 pounds. If that difference is not noticeable I may buy the Methods to have a daily driving set up and a weekend warroir set up. Which I'm currently doing with my stock wheels and the FNS.

I've been in the market for new wheels for about a year now. I ruled out Methods pretty early because they are heavy.

Attached might help for 17" wheels. But I am currently trying to confirm a weight on a 20" Weld

You could try something new that almost no one has yet - Check out Impact Wheels (I have no affiliation with them, but I like several of their designs) or Konig's "HyperTrail" series.

I would have already ordered another set, but my wife is trying to limit me to one wheel swap per year o_O

Can confirm ssw's weight was accurate atleast on the apex. Weighed them and my fuels during the swap out.

Nice it was a while back when I was looking at ssw wheels in fact it was called summit wheels then but the site had every wheel weight at 23.5 pounds so I was suspicious. Haha.

I've seen SSW change the posted weights on their website a couple times (after having every wheel listed at 23.5 lbs), so I was skeptical also.

However, I weighed my Dakars before mounting and they came in right at ~23.5 lbs, just like the website said. My SSW Raptors were noticeably heavier at 28.5+ lbs

Those Raptors look really good too. So many choices. Sucks that they are heavy.

I think it was 23.8 or so its been a few years since then so couldn't tell you the exact.
My fuel kicker 6 I saw posted weights anywhere from 27-32 on the 17x9 mine weight in at 32

My set is from the summit days i messaged them going are these your wheels or do you have a different line what was going on. From what I was told it was all rebranding everything is the same.

I loved the look of the Raptors also, but I was disappointed to find they weighed 28.5lbs after buying them (this was back when the SSW website said 23.5lbs for the Raptors)

If you like the SSW Raptor but not the weight, check out the Enkei RPT1
(I'm guessing SSW copied Enkei's design)

I like those! Any more info on them?

I'm older and favor the machined finish or polished alum wheels from my youth. The trend towards black wheels made me cringe a bit, because when I was younger, cars and trucks with black wheels were typically the 'poverty' trim levels and that's stuck with me ever since. One benefit though - they hide brake dust better than polished wheels!

For my new to me '22, I am considering a set of machined finish Raceline wheels with a +10 offset and stock tire size so I shouldn't have to worry about rubbing (even with a mud flap installed). They don't seem overly heavy at a listed 24lbs, but those MT's at 18 lbs are great!

Thanks, I ran across these at Custom offsets.com, pretty good price too. Always liked the old school slot mags.
Mickey Thompson has a few choices on these. These are the "Canyon" model. They also have "Canyon pro" models in black and bronze for the youngsters.
The Canyon pros have beadlock bolts but not sure if they are true beadlocks.
I prefer the machined look, these are polished and kinda too shiny for my taste, but wear and tear will dull them out soon enough.
They are supposed to clear my calipers but I havent fitted them yet. I'll try to post up some pics once I get them bolted on.

I considered replacing my factory steel 16x7 rims with Ansen Offroad alloy wheels, but the don't make them for the Gen3 Tacoma.
