What Sandpaper is best to use for sanding chrome parts to paint?

    No problem, post pics when it's done if you want it to pop I can teach you how to cut and buff it lol

    Besides professional 2K primer, rustoleum will be fine, you'd be amazed what you can do with cheap materials if the preparation is done properly

    ARB front bumper, Old Man Emu suspension, on board air compressor, on board hot water converter, cb radio, safari snorkel, warn 8K lb. winch, AP rock slidders/rear bumper, gray wire mod
    You may be okay starting with the 120 because getting the chrome to scuff up will be easier with the 120. I would then hit it with primer to fill in the deeper scratches and then continue wet sanding with finer grit paper as you go. The self etching primers are usually used on the metal parts but I heard will still bond to the plastics like the front bumper you are painting. Like I said before I always use a plastic adhesion promoter on the plastics before I spray any kind of primer or paint to make sure there is a good bond.

    So instead of painting I went with the "buy the parts already black, aftermarket" option...Both parts totaled a 160$ ordered from ebay

    We will see how it comes out. Parts arrived today and I'm exited to get them on.

    So I took off the stock grill and put in the new one

    Love you it came out!!! the front grill even brought the clips, in case the stock ones broke. I changed them anyways. None of the parts were broken and they all fit straight on.
