What Should I Ask of the Dealer Before Leaving the Lot?

Hi,
I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on a new TRD Off Road and am wondering what I should request from the dealer before signing. My list thus far:

• Check the ATV level and top off as needed. (is this still necessary in 2020?)
• Remove the headrests from the rear bench seat.

Anything else you would suggest?

I guarantee they wont check it even if you ask (atf)

 

Make sure you have all your floor mats. I paid for the all weather oem floor mats for my truck and a month later realized I did not have a rear floor mat.

 

I had them give me free tint and a trd pro grill lol.

Make sure all of the options you are paying for are there...floor mats, bed cover, door sill covers, etc.

Also, removing the headrest is just a simple button press and pull, I don't think that is something you need the dealer to do but.

As whatscp said, ask for a bed mat. You will not regret is. It really does keep stuff from sliding all over the bed!

 

At 2 seconds per headrest, you can manage that task. I like the full tank of gas idea though.

 

wheres the next closest dealer? That will motivate him to make a deal.

 

I thought all dealers filled the gas tank for vehicles they sell.

 

is not getting a full tank of gas a thing? Every vehicle i have purchased has come with a full tank of gas.

 

Are there people that take delivery of a new car without a full tank? Every new car I have gotten they topped off the tank and gave it a wash and wax. Ive never had to ask for either.

Go for the bed mat! You might get lucky and you'll need one anyway.

I know you're just looking for ideas, but this is really something you need to figure out. What do YOU want? You don't ask these things before leaving the lot, you ask before you make the deal. I've gotten many things from free tint, free parts credit, to a seven year Toyota care warranty extension.

Bed mat was worth the purchase. I would have asked them to throw that in if I knew about it. Maybe ask them to match the rear window tint or tint the whole truck. I did and they matched my rear window.
