    Dear Tacoma lovers,
I am 18 years old and I want to put a body lift on my 2011 toyota tacoma. I already have a leveling kit installed with slightly bigger than stock tires. I found some pictures on the internet but it does not look noticeable. I was wondering if is it noticeable in person or should i go with a 4” body lift or something. Also if you have a picture of what my truck would look like it would be greatly appreciated!!:)

As per your lift question. It all depends on 1-desired use, 2-desired appearance, and that other thing...
oh yeah, money. How much you looking to spend.

Body lifts are not ideal, if you were to do it DO NOT GO OVER 3 INCHES. Is your truck 4x4?

Would avoid body lifts if I were you. If you are 2wd I would go with a spindle lift and bilsteins.

body lifts don't affect drive line angles. just scrap the leveling kit and toss on a 4-6 inch body lift

Well first off body lifts aren't the safest and imo they don't look great over an inch. May I ask first, what year is your tacoma, what is your budget, and what tire size are you trying to fit?

Body lifts can improve approach/departure angles.

But axle lines are the real ground clearance, and tires are the only way to get that.

So it depends on what you are trying to do.

If you do light offroading and mall crawling the body lift will scream poseur to anyone who knows the 4wd world.

    Good luck!

My second tip, to an 18 yo me, would be to maintain the truck well and keep the mods to a minimum. Put your mod money in a Roth IRA with a low cost company like Vanguard. It will be worth a lot more to you than any body lift, jukebox or big tires will ever offer in memories.

my truck is a 2011 and my budget is of course lowest to highest, but the max is i would say about 300. Also I have the tirest i want right now. So now im just looking for something to make my truck look higher without the 1500 suspension lift.

My advise would be to save and do it right. That said I have no experience with body lifts other than the one that my dad had on a 1986 Ford Ranger and it looked horrible! You also need to think about things like extending wiring and shifter linkages and so on depending on how extreme you go.

Ok, then I would advise just a toytec spacer lift with an AAL. I have this same lift on my truck right now and it has worked out great
