I think from 2012 to 2014 they had the "bajas" which the marketing didn't seem to sell well. In 2015 they went back to having the "Pros" which for 2015 was white, black, and inferno from what I have read. Im not sure how far back that the Pros went...I def know they never had a blue Pro though. That is a sick color though man! If I had a choice, I would of chosen that color.

Working on it! Haha, I live in Denver but actually found this back "home" in Chicago, talking my parents into going to check out the frame before I make the trek.

Looks like TRD with TX PRO package as mentioned... Looks like a great truck at negotiable price.

TX Pro was add option package to TRD package... any color TRD could add the TX Pro package
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/finally-got-one-speedway-blue-tdr-or-tx-pro-package.156144/

Later TRD Pro Trims limited color options
    Ex: White + Inferno'15 / Sand'16 / Cement'17

Currently in process to find 2014-2015 DC OR/PRO - Easiest way to check trim is driver side label for tire spec + Rear diff in my case.

Recalls on my 2010 AC that may be open on this 2011: Steering column, rear seatbelts, and leaf springs. Edit: Toyota dealer should have fixed/advise you of these.

Note: 2nd 2nd gen. frame recall is decided this month. Frame check as mentioned above #1 check rust "from the inside out" cunninlynguists

Great looking truck! Good luck - I paid 24500 in 2012 for my 2010 base AC w/34k

I was going to add, maybe a TRD OffRoad that someone built into a TX Pro? That wouldn't be that hard to do, compared to the 2012-15 TRD OR that are built into TRD Pros. I still say buy it! (but want to also add check the frame for rust!!!)

Very clean Carfax report. It appears both owners seem to complete the required maintenance. If it looks as good in person, I would buy it. Welcome to TW.

    Thanks again for everyone responses.

I have someone going to check out the vehicle tomorrow before I reserve it on deposit and drive out to IL to pick it up - is there any specific way I should explain to check out the frame for rust? Just visually inspect the frame/underside for any signs of rust is how I plan to explain it. Let me know if there's anything I'm missing - thanks again!

Take pictures and post them here--there are plenty of forum members that have dealt with frame rust issues and their input would be invaluable...

The TX Pro was just an added option package to any TRD off-road in any color.

Has anyone mentioned making sure the frame is ok? Haha...j/k obviously

The truck looks nice! The only thing that looks a little unusual in the Carfax report is the shocks needed replaced. Maybe others will chime in and say it's no big deal. Perhaps it just means it went off-road and/or did a lot of hauling.

Unless you learn something that hasn't shown up yet I'd say go for it and good luck!

This is my impression after reviewing the eBrochures, the T|X/T|X Pro option packages seem to have only been offered in 2011, 2012 and 2013--no mention of either in the 2014 brochure...

That's a later 2011 because it has the white face gauges.

I wouldn't worry too much about different colors availability on packages. The 2011 brochure reads as if you couldn't get a TRD in pyrite mica, but mine exists.

Hey if it is a speedway blue TX TRD Pro i'd be all over it! I have yet to seen one in that color! They are either black, MGM or White. Looks like it maybe a little rare. OP

Good thing is - you won't have to deal with the secondary injection pump issues on a 2011. I say go for it! Might even be able to talk them down a grand or so.
