Nice truck, would definitely look at getting the v-6 and a trd package, especially if you plan on driving in the mountains ... just my .02

Nice truck and looks stock and unadulterated. You can modify to your tastes. Good choice in the 2.7. You will like the fuel mileage. I'm currently getting about 28mpg/hwy, pull a 21 ft travel trailer and 20 ft boat without any problems. The engines are absolutely bullet proof.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
Look's good OP. Make sure you are happy with the 2.7. Great engines. I had one in my 97 and loved it but admit I would not want to go back to it. I have a set of factory fog lights if you want to install those if/when you get it.

The link is gone, but sounds like it is a 2.7 truck. I'll be honest, I would think long and hard about that if you do any driving in the mountains (you're in Denver, so assuming you do). I had a 2009 Sport with the V6 for 3 years in Denver, and let's just say that there was a lot of downshifting on 70 going in and out of the mountains. No way would I have wanted a 2.7 in a Tacoma up in the higher elevations. Just a thought.

BS, I have a 2.7 with auto (header and exhaust) and no issue in the mountains.

I mean yeah your truck will drive up in the mountains but let's be honest it's far from thriving going uphill at 7k+ elevation. My 4.0 and roommates 3.4 do well but even the 3.4 is pushing it

I've had mine up Pike's Peak last summer and didn't find that I was "pushing it". Never had any issues at elevation. Yes the truck will be down on horsepower at elevation but not enough for it to become an issue unless your at your max towing capacity. The OP will be fine in the mountains with his 2.7 auto.
