What size allen wrench or torx tool to fit front diff on 97 Tacoma?

So to use the nipple extractor do you just keep hammering it in till it bottoms out then reaming the outside edge if needed
?

 

I had to enlarge the stripped hole a bit to make one of the extractors fit in there; the hole was in between sizes. Once the tip of it fit in I hammered it in a bit farther...no reaming after the extractor is in place...then its time to try turning the plug to remove it.

 

Granted i bought the diff used, but the drain plug on my diff is magnetic

Both of those look slightly different. Do they come as as a set? I see the label and all, still can you verify part number(s) please?

 

They are the exact same, they are sold as individual items,
Part number is on the bag,
They come with magnets in them

 

So nothing worked getting the bottom bolt out,

I ended up getting a 15” metal chisel and used a 5 pound hammer to get it loose.

I used the sharp edge to of the chisel to start making a large grove and then took a grinder to make
the other side flat with no edge and used that as my wedge up against the bolt.

It came loose with about 7 hard smacks.

NOTE
MY truck the drain and fill plugs were two different sizes,
So the Lexus drain plug worked on the drain only.
