Alright, got my new taco a week ago and I just can't leave it alone. Even tho I said I wasn't going to mod it lol.

Got an access cover on it, ordered a front skid plate and some Westin stainless steel side steps. ( both coming tomorrow )

I had a lifted 2011 4 runner and I loved it but i am going to wait awhile to lift the taco.

Anyways, I want new tires because I don't like the factory dunflops. I had BFg at on my runner and I loved them. That what I want again but am wondering what size to get. I am keeping the stock 18" wheels and they have 265 60 18 on there now.

I am thinking 265 65 18 BFg at's. Is the the best choice or would you guys try to fit a larger tire size under there? Once again I don't want to trim or lift.

I tried to search for an answer but no luck

The BFG AT's don't come in that size.......already checked. Or at least that's what the salesman told me. didn't see them on the website either.

BFG AT's don't come in the Tacoma 18" wheel stock size which is 265 60 18.

They do however come in 265 65 18. So they new tires will be a little over an inch taller.

I went to the tire store yesterday and had the guys take a look at my truck. They told me they thought I should get a front leveling kit so the new tires will clear easier.

I don't think I want a leveling kit. Won't that fuck up the ride?

IMO if you do a leveling kit you should try to raise the rear also. I think it looks a little funny when your hauling something and you rearend is sitting lower then the front. But take a look at this link it might help you find your answer.

I am not sure if the wheel wells are the same for a 2011 and 2012? That would be the only thing I would check out. Good Luck.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
You'll be fine at the stock height with the 265/65-18. It depends on what kit you get.
    Spacers - yes, stiffer ride
    Billy's set at 1.25" - you'll be fine
