What size chains?

    You may have to shorten a little more there is some slack still. The rubber may help but they stretch so wif you increase speed the chains will move away from tires and slap.

    If you don't want to completely remove another rung you can relocate it. Move the end rung 2 chain links closer to the second to the end rung..

    I failed to fit the cables I've owned since stock (265/70r16) tires on my new 265/75r16 snow tires. Thought it may be just small enough of a difference, however need about an inch more of cable needed with no slack to let out.. good thing i wont need them in most cases anyways (severe weather rated and M+S tires). Looking to sell them now if anyone is interested-- Bay area CA
