Back when I was turning wrenches every day I got to thinking there must be some relationship between Metric and SAE sizes. From experience most of us here know a 13mm wrench is very close to our 1/2" SAE in size. But there is an easy way to remember what size Metric and SAE are close to one another; Subtract (5) from the MM size and you get your answer in 1/16" SAE size.
    EXAMPLE:

    8mm- 5 = 3/16"
    9mm- 5 = 4/16" or 1/4"
    10mm-5 = 5/16"
    11mm- 5 = 6/16" or 3/8"
    12mm- 5 = 7/16"
    13mm- 5 = 8/16" or 1/2"

Etc., I am sure it only holds out so far either direction but for the most popular sizes we use, it seems to work well. Just thought I would share that little tip with my Tacoma brothers. :)

10mm doesn't have an equivalent in Sae... i think. 3/8 is close but too small

I hate to burst the bubble here, but your numbers are off. You are really close, but in the real world, those wrench sizes are off a little. Over the years of turning wrenches, this is what I have found:

    8mm-5/16"
    10mm-3/8" BUT a 10mm will fit a 3/8, but a 3/8 will not fit a 10mm
    11mm-7/16"
    12mm- no match close enough
    13mm- 1/2"
    14mm- 9/16"
15mm- close, but no standard wrench match
    16mm- 5/8"
    17mm- 11/16"
    18mm- Close, not close enough
    19mm- 3/4"
    20mm- close
    21mm- 13/16"
    22mm- 7/8"

Good try though. You have great intentions.

Badgers, I don't need no stinking Badgers.
Dude it's a tacoma all you need is about 4 x 19mm, and you can basically rebuild the vehicle. You may need a 14 or 2 also.
